LOGO

Wondering what our logo stands for, exactly?

The Marathon du Mont-Mégantic logo a  was created in collaboration with La shop à Content. A very meaningful logo.

Highlighting the Cassiopeia constellation, it reminds us that the race takes place in a unique environment, that is to say in the world's first dark sky reserve. Although the event will be completed within the day and the only observable star will be the sun, it takes place in an environment steeped in the mysteries of the universe. The Mont-Mégantic observatory is an important place linked to the study and discovery of our sky. In partnership with NASA, particularly renowned research is carried out to better understand infrared waves.

The five stars of the Cassiopeia constellation represent the five summits climbed during the marathon course :  the summit of Cimes, Mont-Mégantic, Mont St- Joseph, Mont-Victoria and the summit of the Escarpments. The track represents the course of the race.

Finally, from the side we can see mountains and an M which stands for the MMM abbreviation of the name of the race.

LOGO

The Franceville Classic designates the 15 km course.

Its logo highlights the birch leaf which represents nature conservation and the type of forest in which the park is located, a sugar bush with yellow birch. The birch leaf is very representative of the environment in which the race takes place since the emblem of the park is the Moon Butterfly and this one feeds when it is a caterpillar only on birch leaves and then like Butterfly it does not not feed for a week before dying. cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ The event will be completed within the day and the only observable star will be the sun, it stands in an environment steeped in the mysteries of the universe and that is why the sun is present on the logo and that it can also represent the observatory of Mont-Mégantic, which can be observed several times during the 15km. The Mont-Mégantic observatory is an important place linked to the study and discovery of our sky. In partnership with NASA, particularly renowned research is carried out to better understand infrared waves.

The shape of the birch leaf represents well  the relief of the peaks which will leave you no time to get bored before finding  the mountain stream path, which the can be seen on the logo. Finally, the last portion of the race is done on the sugar loaf and the colors of the maple tree remind us this essential section of this race, which is really waiting like a desert.

Thanks to Gary Pillu from Sportera for the precious work behind this logo of an essential race!
